Doris Johnson, 88, passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2026.
Doris was born May 20, 1938, at Manley Hollow west of Vanceburg, a daughter of the late Cecil H. and Lizzie Manley Polley.
She was a member of Aberdeen Baptist Church and loved her church dearly. She enjoyed traveling and camping. She loved her family and her dog, Prissy.
Survivors include her sister, Garneda (Bob) Chinn of Chillicothe, Ohio; her beloved dog, Prissy; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Johnson; her daughter, Carmilla Jo Kegley; four sisters, Louella Butler, Oleta Stone, Mildred Simpson, and Ruby Arthurs; three brothers, Raymond Polley, Herb Polley, and Johnny Polley; and two nephews, Eddie Simpson and Billy Polley.
Services will be held at a later date at Aberdeen Baptist Church in Aberdeen, Ohio.
