Robert Nichol “Bob” Moore, 84, of Garrison, passed away Sunday, August 2, 2026, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Bob was born December 5, 1941, in Greenup County, a son of the late Orr Nichol and Florence Caldwell Moore.
He was a member of South Shore Church of Christ. He enjoyed playing music, hunting, fishing, woodworking, going to bluegrass festivals, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include two daughters, Karen Sue Killen (Chris Sanders) of Garrison and Anita Ann (Mike) Corns of Tollesboro; three sons, Robert Nichol (Donna) Moore, John Duane (Teresa) Moore, and Christopher Shane Moore of Garrison; four sisters, Pauline McCleese of South Shore, Betty Burchett of Portsmouth, Ohio, Patty Moore of Wheelersburg, Ohio, and Carol Toppins of West Portsmouth, Ohio; one brother, Orr Nichol Moore Jr. of West Portsmouth, Ohio; his companion, Mary Kamer of Garrison; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Many other family members and friends will sadly miss him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years, Ruth Rhoden Moore; five sisters, Ethel Denune, Mary Royster, Dolly Moore, Molly Moore, and Martha Ella Moore; one brother, David Moore; one infant brother; and one grandson, Joseph Ryan Moore.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel, 103 Dudley Avenue at Garrison, with Bro. Chris Sanders officiating. Burial will follow in Waring Cemetery at Garrison.
Friends may visit after 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel at Garrison.
Pallbearers will be Michael Killen, Robert Moore III, Davey Stone, Brad Stone, Jeremy Moore, Josh Moore, and Owen Moore.
