Lawrence J. Lee, 72, of Garrison, passed away Monday, July 27, 2026, at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, Ohio, after an extended illness.
Lawrence was born March 18, 1954, in Cincinnati, Ohio, a son of the late John James and Alma Opal Roland Lee. He spent much of his career as a truck driver, working for Sharon-Brown Company in Indiana, Fannin Trucking in Tollesboro, and several other regional trucking companies. Lawrence proudly served his country in the US Navy.
Survivors include two daughters, Rhonda Lee (Javier Garcia) and Dreama Scott of Vanceburg; one son, James Lee of Indiana; one brother, Robert Lee of Connersville, Indiana; six grandchildren, John Christopher Dick II, Parker Reid Dick, Jaycob Matthew Dick, Russell Avery Scott Jr., Roxton Alexzander Scott, and Lebreeskia Marie Dawn Scott; one great-granddaughter, Aria Virginia Dick; and many other relatives and friends who will mourn his passing.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Marie Cooley Edington, in 2005, and 11 siblings.
A memorial service will be at the convenience of the family.
