Connie Jean Kinney, 79, of Vanceburg, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 20, 2026, at Vanceburg Hills.
She was born in Lewis County on November 10, 1946, a daughter of the late Reuben and Pauline Harrison Kinney.
Connie was a member of Heselton Baptist Church. She loved attending church, reading her Bible every day, and spending time with her family, whom she adored.
Survivors include a sister, Paulette (Doug) Pugh of Vanceburg; two sisters-in-law, Carolyn Kinney of Vanceburg and Linda Kinney of Tollesboro; one niece, Krista (Paul) Lang; and four nephews, Darrin (Jolene) Ginn, Duane (Tonya) Ginn, Kyle (Angie) Kinney, and Brian (Janet) Kinney. Many other family members and friends will sadly miss her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry Kinney and Harry Kinney; a nephew, Shannon Grayson; a great-niece, Kylee “Bella” Kinney; and a very special friend, Junior Hollar.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 24, 2026, at Tollesboro Funeral Home, 11918 KY 57 at Tollesboro, with Bro. Shawn Jordan officiating. Burial will follow in Hackworth Cemetery.
Friends may visit after 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 24, 2026, at Tollesboro Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Duane Ginn, Darrin Ginn, Derek Ginn, Dillon Ginn, Dalton Grayson, and Kyle Kinney.
Honorary pallbearers will be Brian Kinney, Jody Gum, and Doug Pugh.
